Gasthof zum Schwan in Sommerach

Ate there twice in the last week with very different quality. The vintner plate at the 2nd meal was now completely wrong. Made the impression as freshly bought in the meat department at the food discounter. No trace of quality or individual taste. The baked carp wasn't great that evening either. We have already been able to enjoy a lot tastier on site. Although we are mostly in Sommerach several times a year, you won't find us there to eat ...

Very good food and good wine nice and attentive conditions

Just fine. The quaint inn itself is definitely worth a visit, but the food is the burner! I had wild boar goulash with dumplings, my husband Schäufele with dumplings and red cabbage. Portions for lumberjacks and so delicious that you would have loved to lick your plate. Again any time! PS: There is a spring water basin for the carp in the yard, it couldn't be fresher ...

Unfortunately, I can't fully understand the positive reviews from my predecessors here. The service was fixed and the food came very quickly, unfortunately our waitress was a bit rude. Unfortunately, we could not be told directly which dishes are mushrooms when asked. We had the back of wild boar, which was unfortunately a bit too tough and tough. We also ordered the Schäufele. However, this was tasty. All in all, the visit was fine.

Exactly what we imagined on our short vacation in Franconia. Great and very cozy wine bar, with very good food and wine. Also very friendly. Therefore highly recommended.

Staff is very nice. Unfortunately we were frozen because our legs were pulled. Regardless, the food wasn't worth the high price. It was carelessly arranged on the plate. I expect a little more from a salad for € 22. .... and the goose for 27 € wasn't golden either😉 But I have to admit it tasted good.

Super. Ate very good baked carp. Everything was done very quickly and with friendly service and that Sunday lunch. Respect.

Service was fast, but unfortunately the quality of the food was not particularly good. It was also not mentioned that I gave a main course back almost untouched.

Nice restaurant, good Silvaner, great soups and also the main courses fit. Price level a bit high, but all in all good. Visited early October 2020

Ordered onion roast beef rear and I got a tough, well-done piece. Ambience like in a greenhouse, was still eating because my wife had already cleared the plate. A no go !!. Feels like mass processing although it is already off-season.

Although prices are higher in the area than in the rest of Franconia, they are definitely worth 5 stars. Here you will find an excellently organized gastronomy. The food is fresh and tastes delicious, the service nice and friendly, a great Franconian ambience. Have stayed at the inn for the fourth time and have never been disappointed

Beautiful ambience. Very child friendly. The shovels are really a hit. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside ... a dream. The wines are from our own winery and highly recommended. You are served super quickly and very friendly. We are excited.

I ordered the grilled fish. It was a whole fish, with very tiny bones and I spent a long time trying to eat it. There was no good flavor to it. My husband and I both ordered the same soup and had diarrhea the next day
